Can you loose weight of your legs?

I am slimish and happy with my figure, but I hate my fat thighs. is it possible to loose weight of your legs, without toning the fat, making it bulky and muscley ??


Answers:

If your legs are truly fat (not muscled), then add some cardio to your workout schedule. 30 minutes of cardio 3-5 times a week will help your body burn excess fat, plus give you excellent heart health!

Now that you've got the cardio though, you'll want to define your leg muscles. Not become a bodybuilder type, but you definitely want more muscle to help burn the fat in your legs. However, to avoid bulking up, you'll want to do several reps of leg-specific exercises on a very low weight.

I'm not sure what part of your thigh is "fattest", but the exercises you use should be related to that. Hip adductors are good for inner thigh, hip abductors are good for outer thigh, seated leg presses are good for quadricep/hamstrings, and leg curls are good for hamstrings. Leg extensions are also good if you're looking to tone up the back of your thigh and define your butt a little more.

Just remember--LOW WEIGHT, HIGH REPS. That way you're working the muscle without stressing it to be "stronger", if that makes sense! Hope this helps :)
