how many calories is a regular person supposed to intake in a day!?

This is sort of a complicated question!. All these things vary from person to person!. It all depends on your bodyweight and the amount of activity you are doing daily!. I myself am a 250 pound powerlifter and take in roughly 6000 calories per day!.
Gaining weight is a very simple thing!. I suggest writing down all the calories you take in everyday for 1 week!. Now you will know how many calories you need to stay the same bodyweight!. Then add 500 calories to your daily food!. If you are not gaining weight now add a little more!. If you are gaining faster than you want to eat slightly less!.
An example of an extra 500 calorie meal in your day:
1 banana
1 glass of milk
1 scoop protein
