Why do veins show more when you lift weights?!
Question:
Why do veins show more when you lift weights?
I have been lifting weights and I noticed that my veins are more noticeable and they sit above my skin.
Is this normal and why are they more noticeable?
Answers:
When you lift weights, you are causing the heart to pump more blood at a faster rate, and your blood pressure goes up some. The veins expand to accomodate the increased volume of blood. It is very normal, and great exercise for your skeletal muscle groups you are working, as well as your heart muscle.
