Less than 2% of the population has a medical condition which causes obesity!. The other 98% of obese people have medical problems because of their obesity - there's a difference!. Unless they keep a record of everything, and I mean everything, they eat each day, they're simply not aware of how many calories they're consuming!. I bet if they wrote it down, they'd be surprised how many calories that little bit of chocolate has !.!.!. or just those few chips !.!.!. or that extra piece of pizza !.!.!. or whatever!. It's easy to just pop things in your mouth and kid yourself that it doesn't make any difference!. It does!. One chocolate bar over your necessary calories each day will result in a 20lb weight gain over the course of a year!. The fatter they get, the less active they are, and so begins the cycle!. It takes a big effort to start to eat less and do more exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i'm 15 and
i've been trying my hardest to loose weight
and it is not easy
this past year i've lost 35lbs that was hard as Heck!!!
yes i complain (cause it is hard)
but at least i'm trying & that's what counts
when you are so used to a certain lifestyle it is extremely hard to change!.
it's not only that sometimes people eat cause of emotions
(cause their depressed or whatever the problem might be)
it's like an on going chain reaction
you try to loose the weight, then you loose a little, then you gain it & get upset and eat more
(at least that's what i did)
I have to admit your question is a little insensitive
i don't know if you ever been overweight
but before you say something like this try to walk in an overweight persons shoes and see how they feel
of course there are overweight people that are happy with themselves
why can't people be overweight and happy
this world is centered around thin people
& that's the worst part about it

Good question!. Why don't they!? Then we can ask why herion and meth addicts just don't stop using drugs!. After all, its destroying their lives, their loved ones are abused and often break all contact, they lose their jobs, houses, and health, why in the heck don't they just quit!?!? I think the obvious answer is it's not as easy as it sounds!. While I think its possible for most obese people to lose weight by changing their life long excercise and eating habits, it apparently isn't all that easy, as the multi billion dollar weight loss industry can attest to!. not all fat people overeat!. some have medical conditions such as thyroid problems, insulin resistance, and other hormonal or metabolic conditions that cause them to gain weight!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
