Should I jog while carrying weights?!

Should I jog while carrying weights?

I have been running about a mile and a half every morning before work. But I wanted to work out my arms as well, so would it be beneficial for me to run while carrying 5 or 10 pound dumbbells?


Answers:

start out with something lighter before you make your way to 5, and especially 10. thats a lot of weight to be carrying to start out with. 2 lbs is fine, bc remember your going to be HOLDING the weight UP while you run, your not just gonna hang your arms down. but if you feel your fit enough to do that go at it. do some curls while you run through a few jabs in there with it. itll amp up your run 10X of what it is w/o them.
