Need to gain weight... suggestions anyone?!

Question: Need to gain weight!.!.!. suggestions anyone!?
Well, I'm 16, 6'4 and 150 lbs -- I hate the fact that I'm thin and I simply will not gain weight, my body refuses it!.

I eat alot, I love to eat and I'm nowhere near close to being anorexic or anything!. I eat more than most people do, and my parents just say it's because I have a fast metabolism!. I eat and eat, then 2 hours later I'm starving again!.

I run every day and workout (bench, squat, clean and other auxilary lifts) in rotation!. I started working out quite awhile ago with the intention of getting bigger and building more muscle, because I hate being skinny, I've built quite a bit of muscle, but I have in no way or shape gotten much bigger!.

No matter what I do, I keep floating around the 150 lb range, it's driving me nuts -- anyone have any tips or suggestions!? !.!.or an explanation, many thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs and I can tell you that gaining weight isn't easy but it can be done (I used to weigh 120)!.

First of all, how often do you work out!? I gained my 30 lbs working out monday-wednesday-friday and rotating my exercises!. I do nothing except pullups, dips, military press, bench press, deadlifts, and squats, with occasional additions if I want to work a particular muscle!.

Make sure you're eating at least 3000 calories a day!. Drink protein shakes, they're awesome for weight gains!. Drink milk!. Eat meat, potatoes, rice, bread, peanut butter, and anything else with non-processed carbohydrates and protein in it!. Make sure to get the fruits and veggies, too!.

You will always be able to loop your hand around your wrist!. There's not really much muscle there, just bone and ligament and such!. Your wrist size is, in fact, a good way of determining the overall size of your build, as it almost never changes unless you go through a growth spurt!. If you can loop your hand around your wrist, and the fingers overlap significantly, you have a small build!. If they just touch, your build is medium!. If they don't touch, it's large!. Don't worry, though!. After a few years of working out, people will be too busy looking at your bulging biceps to worry about your wrists!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

whats so wronging about being skinny!.
oh and running is 1 thing at you are doing wrong because you lose weigh when you run because your body needs to to be light rather then hevey oh and if you watch the olympics the runners are thin and the simmers have huge musles so star swimming

Well this is redundant!.!. Stop exercising an eat more!.!. You'll get fat!. I mean I wanna be thin and lean!.!. not fat!. But go ahead become obese and take off 10 years from your life!. No one is stopping you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Man I think I'm the perfect person to help you with this question!. Since i am a weightlifter and have went from 170 to 250 over the last 5 years!. I also know a lot of people who have this same problem!. Honestly you should consider yourself very fortunate!. I myself always had a pretty hard time putting on weight also!. It wasn't till a very years ago that i realized how much some people have to eat to gain weight compared to others!.

At this point I eat about 6000 calories a day to stay at the same body weight!. You may eat a lot but you need to eat even more!. It can be a pain but its the only way when you exercise a lot and have a fast metabolism!.

For me this has always been the easiest way to find out how much i needed to eat!. You take 1 week writing down all you eat everyday and your daily calories!. Now you know how many calories you need to eat to stay at the same weight!. Next week you add 500 calories to your daily meals!. You weigh yourself to see if your gaining weight!. If your still not, you add another 500 calories!. You will eventually start gaining weight!. The heavier you get the more calories that are going to be needed also!.

Keep training your *** off and eat some more calories, remember to keep them pretty clean!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
