Has a medicine ever made you fat?!

Question:

Has a medicine ever made you fat?

My friend was always trying to lose weight. She ate healthy foods, but she overate. She always had an appetite and she is bi-polar. Well, now that she is weened off a certain medication she is shedding the pounds really fast. I never asked her weight. I reckon it is around 230 or so, so I just wonder how many other people are affected by medication like this.

Answers:

I've taken heart medication that apparently slowed my metabolism and so I gained weight. I know of people who've taken medication that effected their hormonal balance and they gained weight.
