Boxing/Kickboxing - what sort of things can I do to train...?!
Question:
Boxing/Kickboxing - what sort of things can I do to train...?
I can't go to any classes at the moment as they are all on when I am working, but I would still like to start training for general fitness and so that when I can finally join a class I have some experience. My local gym has a boxing class so I can use the stuff any time I want, I just can't get to the classes.
Any advice on what sort of stuff to do? I would like to do this purely for the funof the sport but might want to compete further down the line. Thanks!
(ps does it make any difference that I am a woman?)
Answers:
Running, skipping and shadowboxing.
Don't forget stretching and sit-ups too.
Doesn't make any difference that you are a woman.
All forms of boxing are excellent sports for keeping in shape and enjoying the excercise.
Contrary to what people think, there is hardly any contact in 99% of boxing training, and can be done by people of any weight/height/strength.
