Question: Girls,how much can you lift !?
I just started to work out and I find I bench like 60lbs which is not much but its a start!.!.my friend jokingly told me that most girls could lift me more than me but not to worry since I would soon start lifting more!.!.
Though I agree with his words I cant help wondering how many girls here could lift more than me at present

I think I may be the exception to the rule!.!. but in high school I worked out pretty regularly and was in softball, volleyball, track,(a thrower) and dance!. I got to where I could do a one time max of 145 or so!. This is about where I maxed out!. I was getting a little bulkier than I liked and started doing less weight at many reps (about 65 pounds or so 15 times!.!.!. waiting 10 min and doing it again!.) I increased in my strength rather quickly and so will you!. I'm also 5'10'' and built pretty big!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
its nothing fix that girls should lift a certain amount of weight
it all depends on
1) ur own body weight
2) the muscular strength ot the particular muscle u r working for like for chest press one can push 20lbs at the maximum for 15 counts but same weight when pulled in doing pulley can make u do 20 reps easily
so its is necessary that u should feel enough resistance for the muscle and the weight which allows you 20reps in a set with little diff!. in last 8-10 reps should be pushed or pulled!. so for this ur 1 mr of each station is must to know

Like complicatedtallblonde, I'm big boned and used to train as a swimmer and shot-putter!. So at one stage I could bench more than my own weight! I was horribly embarrassed by my mega-muscles though, so I stopped!. But due to my build, I could still lift more than the average 'girl'!. I can certainly carry my boyfriend around, and he's 6'2" and not too slender!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I can bench about 150 but i'm a boxer, when i started all of it i could bench about 100 maybe a little more!. I'm 14 years old and i've been training for 4 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
