What's best to build balance and strength?

1) I have carpal tunnel, but would like to do some strength training, what would be the best exercises?

2) What are the best exercises for building balance?


Answers:

In regard to the carpal tunnel I would seek the advice of a personal trainer or doctor as to what exercises are best.
When it comes to strength training the best and safest exercises are compound exercises. This means they involve more than one joint. Obviously lower body exercises will be fine so for that try squats and lunges.
As for balance you need exercises that will strengthen and stabilize the core muscles. Try single leg squats (make sure you have something to hold on to) and fitball exercises.
