Weight loss?!

Question:

Weight loss?

i have been running 5kms in the morning and evening, 5 times a week for the last 3 weeks and have lost no weight. I haven't changed my diet much but thought with this much exercise wouldn't need too. Is it possible that the weight loss can be delayed and will start falling off soon? i am not overweight but would just like to lose a few kgs

Thanks

Answers:

Adding weights will definitely help but, I found that when you first start an intense exercise program, like you have, it takes about 3-4 weeks for your body to "catch up" and figure out what you are doing -- so, there is a delay. I base this on my own experience. The good thing though is that after the weight loss begins, assuming you maintain your exercise and eating patterns, you will begin to see a consistent pattern of weight loss until you reach your goal.

If you see that you do not see a weight loss after a few weeks, you should try to reduce your caloric intake. Also, make sure that you are drinking enough water. Water is one of the best things for weight loss because it causes your body to operate more efficiently and helps to metabolize fat.
