Answers:
They are both good for you but as running outdoors is more difficult than on a treadmill then i would say outside wins!. But only just!. Interval running is best of all - run moderate speed for 2 mins, run fast for 1 min, run moderate for 2 mins etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you do a search on a search engine for "calorie burning calculator" there's many websites that feature a how many calories burned per activity!.

The one that you are interested in is miles per hour ran, as that is what truly determines how many calories you burn, not whether you run outside or on a treadmill!. The faster and harder you run, the more calories you burn, it's that simple!.

I use to take 2 hour walks and burned about 250 calories!. I didn't like that because I don't have time to spend like that for so little calorie burned!. So, now I run about 4 to 5 miles per hour in 20 minutes and burn about 350 calories and I do this every day!. I went from 183 pounds to 153-160 in a few months!. This was much faster and easier and I don't own a treadmill so I run outside with all its hazardous glory!.

If you like the outdoor air and have room, then run outside!. If you're in a hurry or don't want to be bothered by outside people/dogs/ obstructions, then the treadmill is good!. It's all dependent on how fast and hard you run!.

Also, I'd imagine your treadmill is indoors so you also get to exercise in the comfort and SAFETY of your own home since nobody is really going to mess with you after you tire yourself out (i mean, there are no strangers inside your home usually)!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Even though they both are about the same, I would say that doing it outside probably burns just a FEW more calories because there is a variation with the terrain that you're running on (hills and everything)!. Going up a hill is going to burn more than just running on a flat surface like you would with a treadmill!. Plus, running outside is a little more interesting than standing in a room in your house and running in one place! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Outside, because running on a tread mill, it helps you out, so running outside is harder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

outside all the say, different forms of pavement, continual elevations changes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
