Carnation Instant Breakfasts and Ensure...???!

Question: Carnation Instant Breakfasts and Ensure!.!.!.!?!?!?
I am a recovering anorexic, and am required to gain weight by my mother and doctor!. I find it much easier to drink my extra calories through Ensure drinks and carnation instant breakfasts!. I have these IN ADDITION to healthy meals and snacks!. I noticed they have some sugar in them!. But are these ok for gaining healthy weight!?

Also, if i am trying to build some muscle, will drinking a Carnation Instant breakfast made with low-fat milk after weight training work-outs help me!?

Thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Carnation Instant Breakfasts won't help you with the protein you need after weight training!. What would be better for that is a protein bar or shake designed specifically for that!. Or, add some whey protein powder into a smoothie you make!.

As far as are they healthy, sure!. It's not necessarily the shake mix that will make you gain weight (they are only like 100 calories) but the milk (I'm assuming your doctor has you on whole!?) And they do have a lot of vitamins in them as well!. Most stuff has sugar, but you can get the low-sugar options too!.

Good luck w/ your recovery!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's okay!.
in fact in countries where starvation is a problem, doctors found out that simple carbs which include sugar helped the starving children regain health faster than trying to feed them high protein foods!. calories were more important that contents!.
i think the Carnation and Ensure are excellent to go along with your other foodsWww@Answer-Health@Com
