Question: I was anorexic and now i am scared i might relapse!?
Okay I dont want to tell my friends this becasue they think ive been really strong lately so here is the deal!.

I was anorexic for a year and a half (its been six months since i left rehab) I was down to 85 pounds at 5 feet!. Well now I have been gaining weight like crazy and I am almost past 125!. I feel horrible!. I dont like myself!. I went from two extremes!.!.!.underweight to overweight!. I am scared I am going to relapse but the truth is i really want to because i want to be skinny again!. But i have no one to turn to because everyone i know looks up to me for getting through anorexia and i am kind of like the girl everyone turns to when they feel down about themselves!.

I tried to tell my friend who lives in a different state!. But she yelled at me becasue she doesnt believe ive gained so much weight and says i should be happy that my life was saved!. but I feel unhealthy!. I am not happy!. What should I do!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you need to change your mindset!. You say that you feel unhealthy but you don't have healthy goals!.
You feel you put on too much weight but rather than actually thinking about your health your mind automatically goes to being anorexic again!.
If possible change your lifestyle; dont think about eating too much (to not be anorexic), or eating too little (to 'be skinny')!.
I know it's tough and much easier said than done, even people without eating disorders sometimes can't do this!.
Anorexia is a very real and serious disease that most people cannot understand!. So it's going to be tough either way!. I'm very happy for you that you overcame it, that is truly an accomplishment to be proud of!.

So stay strong and know that image is not everything!. Just look at any of the looks vs personality questions on here (there are so many its ridiculous I dont know why people still ask it), in all the ones I've seen personality has won out by far!.

Try just eating healthy like I'm sure you've been doing for gaining the weight, but drink loads of water to go with it!. I was technically overweight (just barely) when I did that too and it helped me get back to a healthy weight!. Just keep an eye on your weight using BMI, try that and you'll be fine, just be careful not to go under your healthy weight again!.

I don't honestly think you'd lose your friends respect if you told them you were having trouble, you have to be honest with them, and they'll respect that =]!. They're the best people to help you!.

I don't really know what you've gone through, but it sounds like you kind of haven't gotten over the obsession with your body!? You really need to learn to love yourself no matter what!.

I can't tell you whether you're healthy or not, cuz i have no idea how much someone should way at 5 feet, but you should worry about being healthy, not how much you weigh!.

Anorexia is a much harder mental situation then most realize!. Most people say its just superficial, but it really is a mental disease!. If you feel like you are going to relapse tell your parents!. They will help you!. Maybe ask your mom if you can go exercising with her!. Maybe you two can walk together every night or go swimming together!. You will have time to talk and you will get exercise and lose weight but also you are not just losing weight you are strengthening your heart and body!. Also make sure you eat foods that are good for your body!. Don't think so much about the calories, think about how good it is for your body!. Think about how great and beautiful you are!. And also tell your Friends, they will help you through this, your family and your friends care about you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
