Question: Help with healthy college eating choices!!?
I am now a Freshman in college & have definitely seen how many unhealthy options for food that is offered!. I have resorted to a six-inch wheat sub with veggies!. No cheese!.!.and mustard for sauce!. Is this healthy!.!.or will this kind of thing when eaten twice a week cause me to gain weight!?! Thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you feel like the sub has too many calories then only eat half of it at first and then eat the other half a couple hours later!. ; ) Keeps your energy and metabolism at full throttle so you won't gain weight!.

Make sure you have at least 1,200 calories a day!. Break it up into 6 small meals of 200-300 calories each!. Space the meals 3-4 hours apart!.

Cadio exercise 5 days a week at least in 30 min!. - 60 min!. sessions!. If you skip one, don't freak out about it!. Stay motivated!.

Weightlifting every other day! Eat lots of protein, drink only water and Crystal Light Energy, and get enough fiber/calcium!.

You may want to consider taking a multi-vitamin and calcium+vitamind d supplement!.

Good luck!

Actually, that is a great choice!. Wheat bread has dietary fiber in it which is great for you!. The veggies are good too!. Also, try the following sites if you can have hot plates and/or crock pots!. I know most colleges allow microwaves!. I gonna stop researching now cause I am getting hungry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I definitely feel ya on this one!. When I started college I was shocked by all the unhealthy stuff being offered!. I didn't gain any weight though! I made sure I always had plenty of fresh fruit on hand (I lived in a sorority so just kept it in my room! haha) and made a point of upping my exercise and avoiding BEER as much as possible!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
