Question: Young girl trying to lose weight!?!?
im only 12 years old and my parents say i have a perfect body but i know i dont i need ways to lose wight without them knowingWww@Answer-Health@Com

You should not do that sweetie!.!.!. It is a domino affect to your growing process for the next 5-10 years!.
When I was your age I was TOO skinny!.!.!. I didnt fill out until way later 16-17, I wanted to do the opposite!. But one thing my mother taught me was self love, she gave me pros and cons!. You should do the same thing!. Write down things that you really love about yourself, and things that you dont!. When your finished look at the things that you dont like about yourself, and ask do you not like them because of what others may think, or do YOU not really like them!.!.!.

I know thats not the answer you wanted, but so many young girls have bad misconceptions on their body!. You are beautiful, young, vibrant, and have so much more in life to do, and focus on than weight loss!.!.!.

Weight loss is for those that have to lift something to get to other parts of their body!.!.!. I am SURE thats not your case!.!.!.

Sit-ups won't do much without cardio to supplement them

You need to get your heart rate up and sweat a little - then maintain that state for at least 20 minutes!.

Try brisk walks around your neighborhood!. (That means a strong, fast pace!) If you have a dog, take him!. Go running for part of it!.

Join a club sport- the practice will help you move around!.

Watch what you eat - try not to drastically change your dinner habits, but avoid snacking when you can, and try to reduce portions!. Skip daily dessert; limit yourself to a very little treat once or twice a week (like one fun-size candy or one small scoop of ice cream)!. Fill up on vegetables!. Avoid large portions of white pasta and rice!. Avoid soda!.

Make changes when and where you can, but make an honest effort!. Don't expect immediate results (especially if you're trying to be discreet), but do try to make healthy lifelong changes!.
