Question: South Beach Diet help!?!?
Well, I'm 15 and in need of losing weight, and my family and I are wanting to go on the South Beach Diet,so will it provide good weight loss if I stuck to it well!? thanks!!!! and any other thoughts on this diet will be very appreciated also, thanks ! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yep, I lost a lot of weight really fast on the SB diet!. You might also want to try the Grapefruit diet (eat grapefruits for breakfast and dinner, and then a normal dinner) - I've already lost 15 pounds FAST!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO NO DIETS! I am a certified health professional in the fields of nutrition and athletics!. listen up!.

the key is 3 things:

you have to "want" to do the weight!.
you have to "know how" to lose the weight!.
you have to "know that you will be working your *** off, and be ok with that"!.

I can only help you with the 2nd one, but here goes:

Every day of the week, except sunday, do a warm-up jog of about 3-5 minutes!. then stretch EVERY body part, this should take around 15 minutes!. stretching increases flexibility, increases strength, and loses weight!. it also increases the metabolism- as does muscle!.

after stretching, you should go on a long distance run of about a 5K (3!.1 miles)!. take it from the HS XC team- its kinda gay for guys, but they're all sticks, you see!. so its obvious that works alot!.

after this, you must tone down your upper body too!. so:

every monday, wednesday, friday do upper body workouts, including:

3 sets of as many sit-ups as you can do
3 sets bench press (try like reps of 20 for everything, for tone and slim)
3 sets of lat pull (or pullups if u can do them)
3 sets of tricep extensions/3 of bicep curl
3 sets of back extension
3 sets of crunches/3 sets of side sit-ups

every tuesday, thursday, saturday:

2 sets of crunches, 1 of oblique crunches
3 sets of leg press
3 sets of leg extension/3 sets of leg curl
3 sets of butt extensions
3 sets of calve raises

(remember, ALL of these should be done with high reps if you want to lose weight; BUT the weight should still be PRETTY tiring; just not ALL OUT tiring!. you should be DEAD by reps 25-30!. thats what working out and losing weight is all about- being DEAD!. lol

ALSO:

eat healthy!

DONT get into stupid "diets"; eat the food pyramid, with extra protein in the form of either tuna, other fish, or protein shakes!.
-don't eat dessert that often!.
-as long as it's healthy, don't starve yourself; just stop eating when you feel FULL!. do NOT stop before you feel full! as long as you are exercising, the exercise + the eating will INCREASE your metabolism until you are eating a good amount and STILL losing weight!.

LASTLY: vegan diets are stupid!.

eating carbs without sufficient protein may make your waist shrink, but you BODY FAT % actually INCREASES, as you are starving yourself, while at the same time not letting muscle grow!. so you lose fat, but lose more muscle!.

HOWEVER, as the Bible wisely mentions, some meats are unhealthy, low in protein, high in fat and toxins, and just bad for you!.

avoid pig, shellfish, shrimp, and other types of sea critters without scales!.

Eat scaled fish, tuna, beef, lamb, etc!. and you will be healthy as a horse!. and a lot skinnier too, if you follow the workout!.


(IN CONCLUSION EAT THE FOOD PYRAMID UNTIL YOU ARE SLIGHTLY FULL; DO NOT EAT PAST 7 OCLOCK; DO NOT EAT DESSERT; EXERCISE YOUR A*S OFF, AND STRETCH BEFORE THAT!)Www@Answer-Health@Com
