Question: Sometimes I'll chew food and then spit it out into a trashcan-Does this still absorb calories!?
Okay, please read this before making assumptions that I'm bulimic!.!.


I love eating healthy, but every once in a while I can't help but eat cookies/cake etc!.!.And every time after I eat something like that I feel fat afterwards!. So I've started to chew my food, and then spit it out (I never actually swallow it)
Just wondering, do I still absorb the calories when I do this!?

I am NOT a binge eater, I just like having something sweet every once in a while, and while I know it won't affect me very much, I still don't like putting a bunch of fat and sugar in my system!.
I'm not going to start swallowing it and then throwing it up no matter what!. (I'm not that desperate)
I just want to know if the calories will still go into my system!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe a little because the sugar in the foods will be mixed with your saliva and you will swallow your saliva along with some sugar!. But the amount of calories consumed is a fraction of the amount you'd actually be swallowing if you'd swallowed the cookie, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All that sounds stupid to me! You can eat sweets and NOT die really it won't kill you to have 2 or 3 cookies or a very very small piece of cake to satisfy yourself!.Its actually better to do that because if your craving sweets now and you don't give your body that craving!.!.!. it craves it way more later!.So just have a little and if you feel bad about it just drink ONE bottle of water after!. Thats what i do and it makes me feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you need to swallow for that to happen!. I think your behavior sounds harmful and could eventually lead to an eating disorder!. I think you'd be better off sucking on sugar free candy or something a long those lines, or eat some frozen yogurt that has very little fat and calories!.

if you eat healthy all the time you will get to skinny you will just keep on loosing try this try 2 weeks of eating healthy then a day of cheating to enjoy your favrote food you will not gain i do that ever two weeks have a pig out day and maintain my weight Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're right, you aren't a binge eater!. You are most likely anorexic!. You have an eating disorder, and you need to seek help from a professional!. Immediately!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

well the salt will start to turn into sugar but it wont be absorbed in your body until it gets into ur stomach/large intestine!. it probably absorbs a few calories though!. not manyWww@Answer-Health@Com
