Okay mate!. I'll do my best to help you :)

Getting ripped is basically having low body fat over some form of decent muscle!. The question you need to ask yourself is how muscular do you want to be!? Body builders weighing in at well over 250lbs are ripped, but then again so is Brad Pitt in fight club and he was like 160!.

I suggest that if you want to gain a large amount of muscle, bulk up!. Gain maybe 25lbs or so and then cut!. Losing the fat now will also lose some muscle - it can't be helped, and it'd be harder to maintain the type of diet required to keep this muscle loss to a minimum!.

If however you only want another 10lbs or less of muscle, I'd suggest losing the fat now and then work on gaining the mass slowly whilst trying to keep your body fat % around 10!. Once you have gained all the muscle you want you can then spend a month or so slowly lowering your body fat % to 8% or so (the usual definition of 'ripped)!.
