Answers:
I think that it does matter what you are eating too!. Two different foods can have the same calorific value, but one has the same amount of fat as the other!.

For instance - one bourbon biscuit is around 75 calories!. Yet it has a LOT more fat than an 80 calorie apple - Obviously eating apples will be much more beneficial to your weight loss than eating biscuits all day!.

I'm on 1000 calories a day too =] I find it a good, round number and I lose weight pretty quickly!.
Another thing to consider, is that yes, you could eat a chocolate bar and it would probably only make up 1/4 of your daily allowance!.!.!.!.BUT just think of all the other things that you could eat instead, things that would probably fill you up for longer!. A chocolate bar might keep you satisfied for, what !. !. !. a couple of hours!? Instead of that one chocolate bar, you could have:

-Muller Light Yoghurt (100cals)
-A banana (100cals)
-A piece of toast (60cals)

Those three things together have the same calorie amount, yet they have MUCH less fat and will fill you up for longer!. When on a 1000 a day diet, you want to stay AWAY from fat if you can! People are always nagging, telling me that the body goes into starvation mode and stores all fat if you go under 1200 - so eat as little fat as possible, and less of it will be stored, thus aiding your weight loss!. So yes, in my opinion, it matters!. Good luck, I hope I helped! xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. And it matters that you're restricting yourself to 1000 calories!. WHAT you eat makes more of a difference than HOW MUCH you eat (within reason)!. Avoid sugary, processed and greasy foods!.

Eating 1,000 calories of twinkies is way worse than eating 1,000 calories of lean turkey and veggies!. Your body breaks these foods down VERY differently and will use the energy from them differently as well!. Visit a nutritionist to get more insight on this!. Calorie restriction is just a good way to set yourself up for failure!. Work on eating healthy all around, eating enough and getting daily exercise!. It's the only way to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!

Shortchanging your nutrition will make you feel terrible, keep you feeling hungry, and shortchange your weight loss!.

1000 calories/day is a little extreme!. Did your doc recommend it!? Most pros will recommend no fewer than 1200 calories for weight loss for a small sedentary person, and often they'll recommend more depending on your weight and activity level!.

You need nutrition to function and event to lose weight well!.

In addition, there are neat little studies that show that people who have a little bit of milk or a few ounces of nuts in their diet lose more weight than people who are on the same diet and activity plans but without the daily inclusion of nuts and/or milk!.

Milk and nuts aren't magical weight loss items, but having a nutrient-rich, diverse diet will only help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

why are u on a 1000 a day!? daily intake should be 2000

!.!.!. and yes it does matter if ur intake is 1000 2 packs of crisps would be ur whole days allowance! u should eat 3 meals a day and not be starving urself, ur body needs something to run off of or u'll get ill or worse, eat lots of fruit, veg, grains etc and make sure u get some exercise!.!.!.

have u seen a doctor about this!? i really don't think u'll be able to healthily stick to 1000 a day!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely because there is more to food than calories!.

You could have a healthy green salad maybe with a little dressing, or a fresh fruit cup which has plenty of vitamins and minerals and such for 250kcal!. Tasty and good for your body!.

Compare that to 2 1/2 100kcal mini-twix sticks!. Tasty but utter crap for your health!.

1000kcal doesn't sound healthy, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it matters, everything is different what you think might be low in calorie might be more than you think!. If your trying to lose weight that's not the healthiest way to go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
