Skinny girl going to the gym? I'm not very confident. ?!


Question: Skinny girl going to the gym!? I'm not very confident!. !?
I'm thinking about joining the gym to build up some muscle because I am skinny and would just like to tone up my body!. I'm also quite short so I guess my skinny body is in proportion with my height!.

But I just feel really conscious about working out at the gym with all these fit and healthy looking people, and then the people who are there to lose weight!. I think I will just feel really out of the mix!. People don't want to see some skinny girl working out at the gym!.!.!. they will probably be like' why the hell is SHE here!?'

It's weird because overweight people usually are more conscious about themselves, but I feel like people will look down on me because I look young (i'm 18) and I am skinny!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everyone knows it is unhealthy to be overweight!. What many people do not know is that it is also unhealthy to be thin and out of shape!. Don't worry about what other people think!. Go work out if that is what you want!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People will actually envy you!. But if you are really skinny, you better go for outdoor exercises to keep fit and to tone up your body!. Why do you need to develop muscles !? Muscles are for athletes and weight-lifters!. I think a healthy and fit girl WITHOUT muscles looks better than a muscular girl!.
If you still want to go to a Gym, don't care about what others may think!. It is your physique and you have to look after it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The problem with most of us , that we think sometimes too much and on those areas where others don't give a second to think!.I think overweight people when join gym they think that how fit are others and what the hell I am !.I think the concern of overweight people deserves much rationality!.

I used to look at all the skinny girls in the gym and wish I was one of them, so I used to secretly compete with them in my head- If they were running fast I would try run a little faster, eventually I was one of them! never under estimate your place in the universe, you deserve to be there as much as some overweight people do! who knows you could end up inspiring the girl next to you! yeah i thought that too, but then i realized that people don't even have time to think about how you look if there really working out, if you still don't fell confident go to the gym early in the morning in the middle of the day or late at night at these times there are not many people at the gymWww@Answer-Health@Com

If I saw a skinny person at a gym, which I do quite a lot I would think 'oh my god i wish i was her!' hehe,

ok to be honest!.!.!.!.there is a really skinny girl at my gym who looks anorexic - and im not exageratting! I see her killing herself on the eliptical machine for an hour nearly everyday!. Now if i saw her doing weights then i would think she was trying to gain muscle and add some curves/weight/get fitter!.!.!.!.but when i see her just doing extreme cardio i do think its a bit weird - i never stare at her coz i think thats rude but i do think secretly in my head what the hell is she doing here she needs to eat!.

But shes really annorexic!.!.!.!.she looks likes shes 38- 40kgs and 170cms!.!.!.anyway!.!.!.when i just see slim girls like lets say a kirsten dunst body i dont think its weird at all that they are at the gym - some people who are skinny are still not as fit as bigger people and they have a right to work out!. So if your not annorexic looking - just skinny i doubt you'll get too many looks!. And dont worry if you do get looks - people are probably thinking you have a good body!. Sometimes i look at girls at the gym as a source of motivation by thinking i want a body like that!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Remember, everyone at the gym who is more toned and muscular didn't start out that way, they weren't born that way!. They had to work out to get their, just like you do!.

I had the same problem when I started- I couldn't lift that much and I often felt very self conscious about it!. But only one or two people ever even looked at me weird for it, and now I'm getting six solid pull ups in without pausing!. Just remember- you will improve over time and quicker than you might think!.

Besides, I've seen plenty of skinny girls working out at the gym; trust me, you're not the only one in that area, and no one will think twice about it!. Usually it's for very similar reasons!.

The most important thing is to do every exercise safely and correctly!. Don't let insecurity allow you to try too much, or to work on some machine without asking how!. Try bringing a friend to the gym- he or she could act as your spotter and gym buddy, and maybe make you feel a little more secure!.

I was 16 when my doctor told my mum to put me on a high carb diet and take me to the gym three times a week to get some weight onto my bones lol (i wasnt that thin, like 42kg) but im also short so i was not like dying thin!.!.!. but when i walk in the gym firstly all the man look at me, because all the other women there are 'fat', and then i go to the treadmills and start running and all the women are just giving me dirty looks, i felt so horrible the whole time i was there, in the end i just went for about 2 weeks and quit, i was so sick of everyone's criticizing stares, i was so uncomfortable!. I ended up put on the weight the easy way (kfc and maccas lol), and now im a healthy 52 kg and 18 yrs old!.!.!.!. but my suggestion is, if you can deal with all the dirties, then go for it!! but otherwise you can get your own home gym like treadmills and bikes and whatever!.
