I suggest that you see a reputable optometrist or go to your GP and get a referral to see an ophthalmic specialist!. This way they can detect what is causing the problem!.

It may be that you are spending too long looking at the computer screen!. On the other hand you could have an undetected eye condition that working in front of a computer has bought out!. An eye specialist will sort this out for you!.

You may need special - purpose glasses!. I don't wish this upon you!. I have to wear them a lot of the time and it is a nuisance!. If you were glasses for distance sight you should take them off when you are doing close - up work such as in front of a computer!.

You may also find it helpful if you go to the chemist and get some general purpose eye drops to relieve the dry sore itchy feeling that you get from staring at a computer screen for too long!.

From and Occupational Health and Safety point of view you should be able to have a break from in front of the screen every 30 minutes at least!. I think that this is the law!. This is what I was taught at TAFE when I did computer applications!.

I wish you the best of luck!. You can't be too careful with your sight!.

i read in a book that your eye muscles strain the most if you stare at something close, say, less than 2m from your eyes!. Keeping your eyes moving a lot relaxes your eyes, and so does staring at far-away objects!.

When you don't need them, try not to wear glasses; I wear glasses too and my eyes feel much more relaxed when I'm not wearing them!.

hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
