Question: What would be the best way to lose 120 pounds in a year!?
I am getting married October 10 2009 and I am about 120 pounds overweight!. Is this goal even possible to achieve!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is absolutey possible to achieve, that is if you are willing to do it! The healthy way to loose weight is thru diet and exercise together!. Stay away from any fad diets, weight loss pills, or the weird exercise machines you see on TV!. This is what you need to do:
1!. Find a gym that is close to where you live, they will usually let you have a trial membership for a limited amount of time!. Use it! See if you like the facilities, classes, people, etc!. If you don't like it move on to the next gym and try again
2!. Join a gym!. They will usually offer you a free session with a personal trainer!. Do it! They will do a fitness test on you and measure things like your BMI and flexibility!. They'll also give you instruction on how the machines work and suggest exercises for you!.
3!. Stay motivated, start small and work up your endurance!. Make it your goal to work out 2-3 times a week and mark it on your calender!. If you write it down you are commiting to do it, just like an appt!. Once you get into a routine, up the days you work out in a week over time!.
4!. Change up your routines on different days!. Not only is this better for your body, but it keeps you from getting bored!. Do a class one day, cardio another day, strength training or core work the next, etc!.
5!. Change your eating habits, make healthy choices! Fries or a salad!? Chips or fruit!? Burger or fresh fish!? Its in your hands to make the right choices, you don't need a nutritionist!

It's very possible, but if you don't lose it the healthy way you will just gain it back as fast as you lost it!.

I suggest good old running for 30 minutes everyday, if you don't want to run, you can walk for an hour!. Eating healthy is also a necessity if you want to lose weight, eat 6 small but proportionally balanced meals a day!.

Eat foods high in protein,fiber, monosaturated fats, but low in calories, carbs and saturated fats!.

Yes, it is possible, however you should be more concerned about 'is it safe!?'!. That's not a very long time to lose such an amount, but it averages out to about 10 pounds a month, which seems doable!. You'll get many suggestions for diets, programs and even surgery, but I'd suggest talking to your doctor so he/she can take into account your medical history!.
Also, don't beat yourself up if you don't lose every last pound, obviously if you're getting married, you've found someone that loves you for who you are, and that's a beautiful thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that is a huge amount to lose!. i would suggest a professional help!. dieticians make it workable and easy with a customized plan!. also they identify any imbalances in the body!.
you don't need to starve yourself to lose wieght!. infact sometimes, you need to eat more protein, to burn the fat!
for a workable diet -
here is what my dietician suggests - follow a practical diet!. start your meal with a soup or a huge salad!. this fills u up!. Make sure your intake has this ratio - 50 per cent veg, 25 per cent carb!. potatoes, corn and peas come in carbs category!. 25 per cent protein!.this will prevent cravings too!.an occassional treat is OK!. have a snack every three hours!. fruit ,ideally berries, or soy nuts!. just 2 tbsp of soya subsides hunger pangs!. have a protein shake too, if you want!. it will fight the fat and give you extra energy to exercise!. switch from white rice and bread to brown!. eat 900gms of veggies a day!.Needless to say, NO soda, chips, cookies! Lose a kilo a week!. that is permanent loss!. pick an exercise regime you like!.

well last month i only ate 1 meal a day for 1-2 weeks and a few days and lost 10 pounds now im 130 and i kept it off sense
if u wanna lose weight fast try that but the 3rd week u will lose less and less

i wouldnt kno if its possible, but a great way to shed alot of weight and have fun doing it is by playing dance dance revolution!. i know alot of friends that lost alot of pounds playing!. and congrats on wedding!. :DWww@Answer-Health@Com
