Should i eat a post workout meal then another meal like an hour later?!


Question: Should i eat a post workout meal then another meal like an hour later!?
is that necessary will my post workout meal of say 45g carbs and 30g protien hold me over for 3hrs so i dont go into catabolic state or do i need a meal again 1hr after my post workout meal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, when eating ur post work out meal u should aim for 40-60 grams of protein, ur best bet is whey protein powder or half whey half soy!. This ensures that u get the benefits of both!. U should also aim for around 60-80 grams of fast digesting carbs such as white bread, a bagel or carb drinks such as gatorade!. This replenishes muscle glycogen and prevents muscles from breaking down!. After this your safe to leave ur next meal 2-3 hours later without risking muscle catobalism!. Well, if you're serious about making gains you should be eating every two hours regardless!.!.!. Sounds like you have a good post w/o meal!. Usually the post workout meal is composed of fast absorbing supplements, like whey and some type of fruit!. The fruit has fructose and will spike your insulin and help drive the nutrients into your muscle!.!.!. Your second post workout meal should be something that isn't so quickly absorbed!. I know you are tying to gain so do this get some muscle milk!.
It is a meal replacement whey protein!. It has like 18 grams of fat but never mind that lol!. I helps you gain some!. I took it and noticed results!.

but eat 6 meals a day!.

I had grits
1 pre workout whey shake
1 muscle milk protein shake after workout because I had no lunch

the healthy plan, is eat breakfast, nothing big, ceareal and a bannana!. that will last you two hours!. then have a snack, fruit, protient bars!. something!. that should hold you for another two hours!. lunch should be your biggest meal!. wait another two hours, and have another snack!. then wait till dinner and eat healthy!. use the two hours plan!. =] it should work as long as you are eating healthy and not crap!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Come on Joe!.!.!.you should know the answer!.!.!.if you eat a meal just before the workout what's used to assist in the digestive process!.!.!.blood!. what is pumped up during your workout from your efforts!.!.!.blood!.!.!.try only giving it one major thing to do at a time!.!.!.proper hydration and maybe a protein shake forty minutes or so before is good enough!.!.now after you finish blasting the muscle, which is now blood engorged, it's in the prime time for receiving nutrients!.!.!.eat a meal withing the hour after the workout!. if you wait two hours it's almost a waste!.!.!.your system will have settled down by then!.!.!.pump it up, then take it in!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mate, assuming you do have like 6 meals a day!.!.!. you should have your protein shake immediately after training and then have your regular meals whenever they fall due!. You should also take time to stretch immediately after and also an hour or so after training!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
