Question: How to switch to a low Carb diet without getting skinny!?

I am, im hating it, maybe if i was a chick i would be happy!.
I have a really fast metabolism, i think thats why!.
any foods that i should add!?

A low carb diet, strictly defined, could mean that your carbs come from any source - so as long as you only get, for example, 100g of carbs per day, this could come from bread, apples, broccoli or rice!.

However, there are many low carb diets out there (South Beach, Atkins, Paleolithic, etc) and one theme that emerges is that the most healthy way to have a low carb diet is to make sure that the carbs you do have come from fruit and veg, with the emphasis on veg!. This is because, for example, 100g of veg carbs contain a lot more vitamins than 100g of bread carbs!.

Avoiding rice, bread, pasta and potatoes is the best way to make your diet low carb because they are not very nutritionally dense and you are not losing out by not eating them!.

As an aside, there is a lot of emerging research that suggests low carb diets have benefits in a number of areas of health, such as diabetes and heart disease both in preventing them and treating them!.

Eating more is the obvious way to avoid becoming skinny because of this diet and I would suggest including more healthy fats like nuts, avocado and oily fish would be a good place to start!. Obviously you don't want to be feeling as though you are stuffing yourself all the time so I accept this might be easier said than done!.

The thing about low carb diets is that they actually promote fat loss and inhibit fat storage because of the composition of the food, which means the calories out, calories in law does not strictly apply (actually this is something of a myth)!. However, if you eat enough it really will stop the weight loss!. So I would suggest just making sure you don't miss meals and ensure each one is hearty!. Don't be scared of eating fat - when you are on a low carb diet this is not as unhealthy a thing to do as normal!.

Finally, perhaps you would consider taking up weight training!. It is the perfect compliment to the low carb lifestyle - 3 lots of 30 minutes per week would kick start your body to make the best use of all that protein the meat and fish you are eating and build some extra muscle!. Then you will look less skinny even though you have less fat!.!.!.!.

Add fat!. More bang for the buck!. If you eat more calories than you use, you will gain!.

Why do you want low carbs!? Fruits, veggies and whole grains repulse you!? Burgers and pizza are loaeded with carbs!. Mexi - carbs!.

You can keep weight on by eating BBQ - but no sauce!.!.!. carbs!.
