I've never been a member of Bally's but I do sell gym memberships for another club so I can tell you about the gym scene before you decide on joining!.

First, location of the club has to be convenient to you!. Is it near work!? Or is it near home!? If it's not convenient then most likely after some time you will end up skipping your workout because you'll reason with yourself that it is too far away!. Don't join a club out of the way only because they may offer a slightly cheaper rate!. You'll waste it in the long run!.

Depending on where you live you can expect gym prices to be anywhere from as low as $25-$35 or as high as $60-$90!. It depends on location and the amenities like a pool or raquet ball/basketball court!.

Most clubs offer lockers that are for day use!.!.!.meaning you bring your own lock!. Usually there are several thousand members and they don't have the space!.

Schedule an appointment to take a tour of the club!. Plan to take the tour during the time of day you'd typically workout so that you get a feel for the environment!. A gym at 2pm is a lot less crowded than it is at 5:30pm!. Now is also the time to ask questions!. Maybe you want personal training!. Maybe you want help using the equipment if you're not familiar with it!. Don't be afraid to ask questions!.

After your tour the sales person will give you a price presentation!. They typically will not reveal prices in the beginning because $40 per month sounds like a lot when you don't know what you're getting for it so instead they show you around to build up value!. Once you see the value then it is up to you if $40/month is worth it to you!.

During the presentation make sure you understand the terms of the contract!. Usually there is a contract of at least 1 year!. I would avoid anything over 1 year even if it is cheaper per month!. Most people usually fail in their attempt to get in shape and end up paying for something they are not using!. Good for the gym, bad for you!. Let's hope you don't fail though! What about cancelling!? When are you allowed to cancel!? What happens if you break contract!? What is the penalty!? Some clubs don't allow the member to cancel until the contract is up!. Make sure you know!.

Usually you will know right away if the club is for you and you'll want to join!. If you are still unsure ask if they will give you pass to try it out!. It could be for a day or three or maybe seven depending on what they're willing to give you!. You'll need no more than 2 visits to the club to know if you like it anyway!. Again, use the pass to try out the club during the time you'd normally come if you were a member!. The atmosphere of a gym varies during the day!.

First of all, every Bally's is different!. You can always go check it out and get a tour and ask all the questions you want!. I will say that chains like Bally and 24 hr are more of a meat market!. If you're worried about being surrounded by fitness buffs and meat heads, I wouldn't join Bally!. Most gyms do not have "overnight" lockers!.!.!.in fact they'll cut your lock off if you leave it on!.

I'm not sure on prices for Bally, but if you have an LA Fitness close, they are very reasonable!. Now days, most gyms don't make you sign a contract either, so if you join and hate it!.!.!.no problem!.!.!.just find another gym!.

I would definitely visit a few places you're considering, because feeling at home in your gym is important!. The more you like the atmosphere, the more likely you will continue to go!. Sometimes, choosing the closest to your house is the best bet, as convenience will also play a huge role at some point!.

Once you get settled, search for a workout partner!. This will help prolong your stay and get you in a great routine! Good luck, and remember to make it fun!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, I was a member at ballys for many years!. It wasn't a bad experience for me but I didn't pay for it!. My mom was paying for it!. I remember she had to be in a contract and that the gym was a little pricey!. It was a nice gym though!. I'm a member with 24 hour fitness now though!. They aren't too expensive and they are 24 hours which I absolutely love!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My opinion is that I hate Ballys!. It all depends on what package you get with them!. When I joined I had to put down $80!.00 then they would charge me $39!.99 every month for 1 year I believe!. I stopped going because of my busy work schedule and other things going on and they will continue to charge you since you sign their contract!. They said they can cancel my account but I would have to swipe my membership card 15 times but I won't get any other money back!. So!.!.!.!.!. what ever decision you make or package you choose, best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've heard positive things about Ballys!.!.!. and they are everywhere, which is a good thing if you ever move!. I've been going to Gold's gym, which is a nice one where I live!. But Bally's seems to be the most popular!. Sorry I couldn't help you out more!Www@Answer-Health@Com
