I don't think any specific time has been PROVEN most effective!.

I like working out in the morning, personally!. If I try working out in the afternoon or evening, its easier for other things to get in the way!. So I let them; I procrastinate!. Plus, working out in the mornings gives the energy I need to get through the day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whether you are trying to get shredded or trying to get bigger/stronger, scientifically the best time to exercise is in the morning!. This is when you can burn the most fat by eating a low fat, moderate protein, zero carb breakfast; and then exercising!.

Testosterone levels are highest in the morning, which theoretically means you should be able to perform better during training!.

I personally always preferred to exercise around 5pm or later, because this is what my body was used to for peak performance!. However I took about 1!.5 years off from dedicated lifting and it reset my workout clock!. I now enjoy lifting in the morning or afternoon better than at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a lot of people would say morning which is good but I have found that it makes me feel more hungry throughout the day!.!.!.I have heard a lot of experts say to work out in the afternoon at least an hour after having lunch and a couple of hours from your dinner time!.!.!.this helps you burn more calories from your biggest meal of the day!. But that is not an option because of my work and kids school so I work out in the morning!. just make sure you eat something at least an hour before your workout!. your body burns more fat if it has something there to burn as far as food goes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

And no, working out does NOT kick start your metabolism!. Your metabolism is the same - any hour, of any day, before you sleep, while you sleep, etc!. You can eat a doughnut now or before you go to bed - it won't have ANY effect on if it's fat, protein, whatever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The morning is the best time to do cardio cos it really does kick starts your day and wipes away the morning cobwebs!. But i prefer lifting weights in the early afternoon cos i don't feel sleepy and i am most energetic at this time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An hour or so after your first meal so you have the rest of the day to "burn and repair your body!."
