Does weight training aid weight-loss?!

Question: Does weight training aid weight-loss!?
I have started going to the gym 5 times a week!. I work out for 40 mins doing rowing, treadmill, cross trainer + bike is this enough or should I try to include weight training!? Those weight machines scare me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Definitely!. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you burn throughout the day!. This is because it requires more energy to maintain muscle than it does for fat tissue!.

However, muscle weighs more than fat, so while you are losing fat, your weight may not drop much!. But it is certainly healthier to build muscle tissue and be healthy than it is to just be skinny!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

in the long run, it does!. Wieght training builds muscle, so you might gain some weight at first, but it will be muscle weight!. After that, if you keep your workouts consistent, you will be burning fat!. Even if you don't see a significant loss, you are still getting to a healthier weight, because more of it is muscle, and less of it is fat!Www@Answer-Health@Com

personally i believe resistance training does help!. it increases mass and the demands for calories so your body burns more even at rest!. i believe weight training is a good tool above and beyond just the cardio stuff!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I purely do aerobic exercsie like swimming, running, cycling!. I am very slim and the swimming still builds up muscle so that I look toned!.
Cardio exercise is the main thing when you are trying to lose weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your sole goal is weight loss then its ok to stay away from the scary weights! Your doing the right thing, but you need to make sure you have a healthy diet or all the cardio in the world isnt going to help you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it does!.!.!.keeping your muscles toned is essential as a toned muscle will burn more cals to keep it healthy etc!.!.it will also harden your body and keep it looking better!.!.!.!.i really need to practice what i preach :sWww@Answer-Health@Com
