Failure in weight training means lifting to the point where you can no longer lift the weight using your own strength!. This means, that if you do a set of dumbbell curls and can do no more than 10, you would have reached muscle failure at that point!.
It's a good tool to have in your arsenal of tricks, but be warned that training to failure is metabolically as well as neurologically VERY taxing!. You can't and shouldn't train to failure all the time!.
My advice is to train to failure only on the last set of any exercise!. Meaning that if you intend to do 5 sets of bicep curls, you should only reach failure on the last rep of the 5th set!. Don't go to failure on every set!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Failure or 'elegant failure' are terms you'll hear!.
Failure = you can no longer perform that move / lift that weight!.
Elegant Failure = you can perform that final bench press / push up, but it's not as perfectly done as all the other ones were!. Can look a bit wobbly / sloppy!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
