Is there such thing as too healthy?!


Question: Is there such thing as too healthy!?
My diet is very healthy, lots of green and rooibos tea, lots of water, 5 fruit and beg a day, pasta, mainly brown bread, jacket potatoes!. I do this mainly for my skin as i dont want spots and definatly not for my weight!. Now I am ALWAYS hungry!. why is this!? i crave chocolate , biscuits etc but wont eat them!. Do i need some sweetness in my life!?!? Is just eating mainly healthy stuff bad for you!? Is what you read about diet and spots actually true!? I would like to hear from people with real experiences!. I also try to avoid dairy as much as poss!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a nutritionist and trainer and I do have a few comments:

1) You're probably hungry all the time because your diet contains very little protein, fibre, and healthy fat!. You need lean protein (chicken breast, turkey breast, fish)!. You need fibre (fruits and vegetables) and you definitely need good fat (nuts, olive oil, avocado, fish oil)!. These 3 items will keep you satisfied MUCH longer than carbs, which you seem to have too much of in your diet!.

2) No!. No one REALLY needs "sweet" stuff in their diet!. All the carbs you eat in your regular diet is converted into sugar anyways, so your body will have an adequate supply of sugar!. You may have a sweet tooth!. Nothing wrong with that!. Just get your sugars from fruits!. They're all natural, and super healthy for you!.

3) Eating nothing but healthy stuff can NEVER be bad for you!. There is no science that suggests that eating some junk food is actually good for your body!.

4) "Is what you read about diet and sports actually true!?" I really don't understand this question!. We read TONS of things about diet and sports everyday!. Most of it is rubbish, but there are some VERY knowledgeable experts in the fields of sports and nutritional science!. Look to the more reputable sources for your information!. HINT: Government websites usually DO NOT give you good information!. Usually, but not always!.

5) Dairy is NOT bad for you!. You are probably misinformed!. Unless of course you have a medical reason to avoid dairy!. The new USDA food pyramid has been modified and the new recommendations actually call for INCREASED dairy consumption!. Read up about it on the USDA website!.

For the record protein and fats promote satiety!.

I don't see any mention of nuts, flax, olive oil!. Eating healthy is not bad!. Eating unbalanced is check your nutrient ratios Protein/fats/carbs/vitamins!.minerals/ water!.

I'm guessing either protein or healthy fats!.

Also how many calories are you getting in remember healthy foods are nutrient dense, not calorie dense!. If your really active you may not be getting enough fuel!.

you need enough protein!.!.!.just 2 glasses of skim milk or lowfat milk a day will do wonders!.!.you dont have to consume other dairy stuffs if you wanna avoid them!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
