Not a good idea at all!.

Your friend has a better chance of dying then actually loosing 40 pounds in a month!.!.!.!. tell your friend if she's going to go through all that trouble anyways why not just change the way you eat to healthy foods!. That's the only real way she will loose any weight!. If she chooses not to eat then she will not have any energy at all, sitting around a lot will cause her to loose muscle, not fat!.!. she might thin down a bit & even loose 'weight' but it's not good for your body at all!. When she does decide to eat again then everything she eats will turn into fat also & she will have an even harder time trying to gain any muscle!.
If she doesn't want to exercise, then tell her to try to walk 15-30 minutes twice a day, if you want to, even tell her you will walk with her, it's not that big of deal & combined with eating healthy she should have no problem loosing weight!.

Either way loosing 40 pounds in a month is not good for you at all, it messes with your muscles, heart & the way your blood flows!.

Good Luck trying to talk to your friend, usually can't change people's mind about stuff like that, but hey if she does go through with it entirely she will learn everything I just said for herself!! Sometimes that's the only way people learn! :)

Again good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, she sounds pretty uneducated to me! She seems to know that it is unhealthy, but doesn't care!. She needs to tell her doctor about this decision she has made!. The only thing I think you can do as a friend is provide her with materials on eating disorders, let her know how the cons outweigh the pros! She should try weight watchers- it works so well! Tell her that even if she loses 40 pounds in one month, she is just going to end up in the hospital with malnutrition and then gain it all back anyways when she starts eating!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Advise her not skip your meals or go hungry for losing weight!. She should take note of her meals' intakes for appropriate portions of carbohydrates, proteins, vegetables and fruits for every meal!. For a female, she should take about 1200 to 1500 calories' intake per day!. Importantly is to do regular exercise, at least for 30 minutes per day to build up the calories' burning!.

An average person should loses around 500 grams to 1 kg per week as this is the healthy way to lose weight!. Let her know that losing weight is a long-term journey and she has to change her lifestyle to stay healthy, not just by losing weight for short-term!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please understand!. Unless you are really really sure she is really really serious, then I wouldn't worry about it!. She may try it for a day or two, bottom line is you need food, your body wants food!. I would tell her to shut up and offer to go on a diet / exercise plan together!.!.!. tell her to stop being ridiculous!. Trust me, it is one thing to say you are not going to eat, but actually not eating is a whole different animal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell her that anorexic thin will not look good, judging by her wait, she doesn't get much exercise!. Her body will probably eat up muscle and make her look flabbier!. Tell her to go on a diet like wait watchers!. I have an older sister who is big and she was able to lose a lot of wait with that and walking every day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is possible!. and tell her when she starts eating again, shes going to gain all the weight she lost back!.!. along with a lot more!. trust me!. i did it!.!. not the brightest choice!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

shes going to loose muscle not fat!.
and will gain the weight back really easily, and will look weird!.
