Question: Strangely slow weight loss on Slimming World Diet!?
I have been on Slimming World for a week and a half now and have followed it RELIGIOUSLY not one slip up have written all my intake down, everything!. So I went to weigh in for the first time expecting good results as EVERYONE seems to lose a minimum of 3 pounds on their first week and I lost 1/2 a pound!!!! I couldn't believe it! The leader said my food diary was absolutely fine and just said it may be a catch up so to speak from when I was eating badly before I started!.

So anyway I have carried on this week again doing the plan totally by the book but am really worried I wont lose hardly anything again!. I don't understand it the leader and so many other ppl have clearly said that if you stick to it religiously you are GUARANTEED to lose weight!. I am really enjoying the plan and its something I can stick to but obviously its no good if its not working for me!

So my question is does it really work for everyone or is there anybody that has had the same problem with this plan and although you did it properly it didn't work - did you find out why!? Im thinking of trying a red week next week if I lose a pitiful amount again this time!. To note I do find I get quite bloated/windy (sorry!) on green days with all the carbs - I don't know could this be an intolerance of something!?!?

Anyone with a similar experience please let me know or if you have known anybody that has been in this situation!?

Slimming world is the same as any other diet plan, it should work if you stick to it!. I have been doing it for about a year and a half and have steadily lost 6 1/2 stone!. My loss was relatively fast to start with, but has tailed off to about 1/2 lb a week!. but hey any loss is good!.
I have seen many members come and go and the ones who persevere are the ones that do well!. Also quite a few have a really slow loss in the first week or two and then find it all seems to click into place and have a really great loss in the next few weeks!.
I would say carry on with what you're doing for at least another couple of weeks and see how it goes!. Carry on writing everything you eat down and make sure you take advantage of free food (especially super-free food that is free on both days)!. The more free food you eat the less food with a syn value you will eat!. It does seem you are eating a lot, but honestly it does work!.
I prefer green days as I feel full all the time and find it easier to find something to eat, but I have to admit I tend to have a bigger loss when I have more original days!. Other people say the opposite!. Once you have got your head around the ins and outs of the plan why don't you try a few Success Express days; it will explain in your pack!.

I didn't loose much weight when I stuck to the green!. So I started to alternate, daily, between red and green!. Low and behold I lost 6 lbs that week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went for 7 weeks & only lost 7lbs! Yes, it was a loss, but so bloody annoying when you stick to it really well! I have since left & am just wondering if I should return, as 7lb is not to be sniffed at!. I felt like I wasn't doing well when I was there, but now realise that maybe I was too hasty to leave!. I haven't put a single pound of the weight on since I left, despite slipping into some of my old bad habits!. So I am now thinking that maybe it is a lot better to lose very gradually as it seems easier to maintain!. I would definitely stick with it!. If I go back, I will now have to pay the rejoining fee again! Try to eat lots of strawberries!. My dad has lost 2 stone in 5 months! He has strawberries, with sweetener, 0% greek yogurt & a tea spoon of honey!. He leaves it for an hour before eating it!. It's delicious!. Good luck with it!. XWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a bit of a beginner at slimming world, think I am into my 10th week!. I have lost 11lb in total which I am really pleased about and know I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own!. I would say to you to try alternating your red and green days, if anything I find that I lose more if I have more red days than green!. With the green days, you are eating a lot more carbs!. Stick with it, you will see results!. Log on to the slimming world website, your group should give you a weekly password to log on with!. I did Slimming World for a few months and actually gained weight!. I think this is because as a vegetarian I only had green days so I was huge amounts of potatoes, rice and pasta!. If you are not a vegetarian then try alternating between green and red days so that your body doesn't get used to the same eating pattern every day!. I think slimming world is great for meat eaters but not so great for vegetarians (just my personal opinion), I think if you do this alternating between the days you will see a greater weight loss!.
