Have suffered from both - anorexia then developed bulimia when recovering!. I stopped purging about 9 months ago!. My expereince of EDs is that mentally bulimia is far worse as with anorexia you at least feel in control!. Now trying to be happy and healthy and undo 5 years of mental and physical self-inflicted harm but I still suffer from BDD and find myself very ugly so much so that sometimes I can't go out which is dumb!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Not anymore, I did much younger!. I was so thin!. When I would look in the mirror I saw fat!. I ran 10 to 20 miles a day!. But when I looked at a picture for some reason I saw clearly!. I finally was able to see enough to stop the insanity!. At my daughters wedding I was so thin I could not even keep any pics that I was in, except the family pic which I could not avoid!. The friends of my daughter told her I looked a little frail, LOL! I never threw up, but used exercise to purge, & baby I could run all day if I felt I needed to!. I am finally free of that particular demon & taskmaster, but it took a lot of work!.
