It's not easy, depending on how limited your funds are!.

Ideally, find a health club and join with a friend!. Keep each other motivated and work with the staff to build you a plan!. You won't see results overnight, but if you follow along, you will see results!

If this is not an option, then you'll have to do some homework!. Calculate your BMI and talk to your doctor about safe exercises to get you started!. DON'T DO TOO MUCH TOO SOON!. You'll just demotivate, or hurt yourself!. I don't know what your condition is, so talk to your doc for specifics!.

At the very least, start with low impact stuff like walking, bike riding and swimming!. Dedicate yourself to getting tired and sweaty three time a week at least!. Start with 15 minutes and work your way up!. If you ever feel dizzy or sick, then stop - you're doing too much too soon!. Cut back the next time and build up!.

As for diet, the key is you HAVE to keep eating!. Three small meals a day will not permit your body to lose any weight, especially if you exercise - it will go into starvation mode!. It's important to include proteins in ALL of your meals!. Avoid saturated fats and embrace fruits and veggies!. Don't ever permit yourself to be hungry!. Having a banana before bedtime is not going to kill your progress!. Feed your body when it wants to be fed!. Just don't chow down on ice cream, or something like that!.

Food now a days is expensive and unfortunately, the healthier you want to eat the more pricey it gets!. Start by not buying any junk food you keep around!. This will not only put money in your pocket, but keep the bad stuff away!. Suppliment lean turkey burger for ground beef!. Peanut butter is a great suppliment for protein and goes great with raisins, celery, rice cakes, bagels, etc (all CHEAP)!. Buy whole wheat - try to stay away from white breads as they have more processed sugars!. Try to replace poor (and often more expensive)eating behaviors with good ones!. For example, if you just LOVE fried fish sandwiches, buy some salmon and whip up some lean salmon burgers - throw them on the grill!. Got to have pizza once a week - bake your own with fresh ingredients, low fat cheese and a wheat crust!.

I am going through the same thing!. I would suggest, buying a 2-3lb whole chicken (hopefully you like chicken) and roast/bake it!. Season it with your favorite seasonings!. You can easily convert this one baked chicken into a bunch of different meals throughout the week!.

The following is something I would typically do

Sunday: Baked Chicken w/ veggies and rice
Monday: Left over baked chicken w/ ceasar salad (or whatever you like)
Tuesday: Chicken salad on whole wheat bread (using left over chicken & fat free mayo and mustard)
Wednesday: Chicken Soup w/ your favorite veggies
Thursday: Stewed chicken w/ potatoes and rice
Friday: Chicken w/ stir fry (you can buy the frozen stir fry from your local grocery)
Saturday: BBQ chicken sandwich on a whole wheat roll w/ all my favorite toppings!.
Bonus: Chicken Wrap w/ low fat mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado (or whatever dressing you prefer)

I don't get tired of eating chicken b/c every time I use it- I use different seasoning to give it a new taste!. It helps out a lot b/c I control how much fat & sugar I use in each meal!. Plus- I don't have to buy lunch every single day!. :-)

Another option is to buy a large whole chicken, (FYI: buying a whole chicken is less expensive than buying a pack of thighs or a pack of breast) cut it up into small pieces, split up into smaller portions and freeze them!.

I started buying the 4 pack of HEB chicken and cooking that with veggies on the side!. One day you can use chicken, rice and broccoli!. By fruit and eat throughout the day like tangaloes, oranges, apples!. The acid can help digest food too!. Fruits are way better than the candy bars! Also run or walk it off before or after you start your day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you buy a bunch of fresh veggies for salads I've found you can eat that for a few days in a row just cutting up fresh veggies and throwing them on lettuce in different combinations every day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
