Need advice on my diet / workout?!


Question: Need advice on my diet / workout!?
Alright well Im looking to put on some weight, but at the same time i dont want to gain fat, so i dont have a crazy calorie intake!.

Breakfast: 3 scrambed eggs, 2 peices of toast
Mid morning: banana
lunch: turkey sandwitch, a handful of healthy crackers, and 8-10 almonds
pre-dinner: banana
dinner: chicken, or fish!. usually with some white rice!. red meat once or twice a week

I am also taking multivitamins!.

and than i go to the gym at about 10pm!. i have a whey protein shake before and after the gym!. i am working out mon-thurs!.

i have to workout late because of school/work!.

I need advice from professionals if this is a healthy diet, in order to put on a few pounds of muscle and tone up!. I've been on this workout plan for 3 weeks!.

The quick answer, your diet is healthier than 90% of the people in north America!. Can you improve it!? sure!.

Your breakfast toast is crap!. Bread unless its whole grain is processed flour which basically might as well be sugar!.

If you like oatmeal, or can learn to like it, that is better than the toast!.!. The eggs are fine!. Lean canadian bacon is not bad for a change

I would replace the banana with an apple if you want fruit!. The banana is very high on the glycemic index!. But if you don't have a weight issue then its not a huge deal!.

Lunch!. Turkey Sandwich!.!.what kind of bread!? What are healthy crackers!? Most crackers arent healthy!.!.some are just less unhealthy than others!. Let me know what you consider healthy crackers, I might buy them!. Almonds!.!.!.nice choice!.!.

Pre dinner!.!. Again a banana, not my first choice but its okay!. Potassium source, but lots of sugar!.

Chicken, fish!.!.good!.!.if not breaded and fried!. White rice!.!.!.as bad as white bread!. Switch rice out for some vegetables!. (not potatoes), add a dinner salad or something,

A shake before and after the gym might be overkill!. Definatly drink one after!. Your body is able to absorb more protien within the first hour after a work out!.

As far as the carbs you mention, yes, you need carbs, but get those from veggies, not rice!. Just my opinion!.!. Hope this helps Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok you need to kick out the crackers, have more protein than just turkey at lunch time!. No rice at night time, your body doesn need it! Just eat more protein foods!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well first of all to gain weight u need to take in more calories then u burn off!.

im sure u do know that u can't eat that meal 7days a week!. i dont know if ur aus but i am wont make any diff tough google the Australian guide to healthy eating 1998 that site has how much u should be eating from each food group for each age so u can find out exactly what u need and it tells u what makes up each food group so u can vary ur diet!. also drinking water is the best thing u can have a coke or 2 no harm but mainly water to drink!.

u dont need multivitamins unless ur not getting enough from ur diet but thats a separate matter!. and protein shakes are a gimmick they dont do anything at all u want protein i suggest u drink raw eggs!. yuck just crack 3eggs into a cup and add sugar to ur liking to make the eggs taste nicer!. the eggs contain huge amounts of protein alot better then any "shakes"

in order to tone up well u need to work out correctly and i dont know much on that matter all i do is skip and push ups, sit ups, dips, chin ups bench etc but u gotta find what u can do!.

if u really wana tone up i suggest skipping as it tones ur whole body so skip for mayb 30min a day Www@Answer-Health@Com
