Popping shoulder lifting weights?!
Question: Popping shoulder lifting weights!?
I just bench pressed and my shoulder was popping!. It didn't hurt, but it felt like it was moving around in the socket as I pressed up!. Is this an indication of something more serious!? Should I lower the weight or rest a few days!? Appreciate it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its usually not a good idea to do an exercise when you feel something popping because this means that it is a joint problem and not a muscle problem!. If you continue to do that same exercise you risk a more serious injury!. I would suggest switching to dumbbell press as this exercise will allow you to control your form more easily!. Try different movements, for example: at the top of the movement have both palms facing forward with the ends of the dumbbells touching, as you lower the weight rotate your palms inward so that they are facing each other!. Go deep with the dumbbells so you get a good stretch, then power upward back to the starting position!. Lower the weight twice as slow as you push the weight up!.
Dumbbell press is a great chest development exercise and really gives you level power in your arms!. It should also solve your popping shoulder problem, I have the same problem with certain shoulder exercises and no amount of warm-up will fix it, so I just avoid them and substitute with other equally effective exercises!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably don't have the correct form!. You should lower your weights and work on getting your form perfect then you can start increasing your weights again!. If you don't fix your form now and continue to work out with bad form you can really hurt yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
