Answers:
a lot of my weightlifiting guy friends insist on doing 12-15 minutes of cardio at a high intensity!. Then they lift weight for 45 mins or so!. They say 12 is the magic number so they don't lose muscle mass but cut fat!.

As a female I stick to 45 mins of medium intensity cardio 4 days a week and 1 hour of weightlifting 3 days a week!. I do abs all 4 days, but only about 5 minutes!. I'm not bulky, I'm maintain my weight, I'm also very strong and solid!.

Hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the intensity of your exercise!.
Typically your body starts to primarily burn muscle after about an hour of exercise!.
Initially your body burns carbohydrates, then at about 20 minutes in your body starts to burn fat!.
The body does not run solely on any one energy system at any one time!. That is just a rough breakdown of time and primary energy source!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
