Question: How to lose a lot of weight as a teenage boy!?
i have been overweight most of my life and im sick of it!. People at school pick on me relentlessly!. i want to lose at least 50 pounds that might actually change the way i look!. Is there an easy, Inexpensive way to lose a lot of Weight!? please ive even thought about suicide!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It really helps if you don't think of it in terms of, "I have to lose 50 pounds!." I lost 85 pounds five years ago and I had to do it five pounds at a time or it became too overwhelming and depressing!. So, my first suggestion is to lose weight in 5-pound increments!.

Secondly, please remember that things look bleak now, but they'll look better once you're happier with yourself, so try to focus on what you need to do to make yourself happier!.

My best suggestion is that you spend the next year eating healthy!. There's no reason to do anything super drastic and complicated!. The year is going to pass by regardless, right!? The only difference is what you do with the year and how you look and feel once it's over!.

Keep a food and exercise log!. Research shows that people who keep these logs stay on their diets longer and lose twice as much weight as those who don't use them!. It really helps you be aware of what you're eating!. You can print them out for free on the page above!.

So, do that at first!. Make healthier choices!. Make a new change each week (but keep the ones from the week before)!. For example, week one give up fast food!. First start off slow, contrary to popular belief, if you are 50 lbs or more over weight, the last thing you want to do is a long run, unless of course, you want to risk several torn or pulled muscles, or damaged ligaments!. Start off slow, swim, bike, walk (yes walk, a mile in 20 minutes if you can, as far as you can if not do a mile)!. Keep at it, 4-5 days a week if you can do it without pain)!.
Work up a new diet plan for yourself, 5-6 small meals throughout containing lean protein, complex carbs, and good fats!. Don't under-eat, your body will hold onto fat trying to "save itself"!.
When you are ready, start lifting weights, dumbbells work wonders and as weights go, inexpensive!. Also see if the school you go to has a weight room you can use in "off hours"!. I'm not suggesting that you become a gym rat, but putting a little muscle on your bones will work wonders for deemphasizing whatever fat you have left!.

There is no easy way to lose 50 pounds especially if you've never been into fitness!. At a healthy rate, it would take 6-12 months to drop if off with getting saggy skin or putting it back on!.

Eat 6 meals daily spaced 2-3 hours apart, find your BMR + how much you burn from exercise, then eat 500 calories less, don't go too low (below 1200) or skip meals when you're full!.
