Question: Healthy lunch ideas!? no sandwiches/salads!?
Basically!.!.!.i'm tired of sandwiches and salads!.
Any ideas for a lunch that is 400-500 calories!?
please help!!

Here are some ideas:

- Make your own fruit smoothie with Sweet N Low instead of sugar!.
- Oatmeal: Very filling, and can be as little as 100 calories!. (Quaker Original Oatmeal)!.
- Try a lettuce wrap with carrots, avocado, tomatoes, alfalfa sprouts, and maybe even some peppers! Don't use too much avocado, though!.
- "Pizza toast" is 95 calories a slice!. It's a recipe that sounds a bit weird, but it's delicious if you give it a shot:
1 piece of whole wheat bread (60 calories)
1 tbs of hot sauce (5 calories)
And if you're not vegan like me, you can use 1/2 slice of Kraft American cheese (30 calories)
I used to eat this recipe when I was a vegetarian all the time!
- Steamed vegetables and rice is always good!. Use some 0 calorie seasoning, and it's a healthy, low calorie meal!.
- Veggie patty melts are delicious!. There are some Morningstar Veggie Burgers that are 100 calories a patty!. Melt some cheese on top (vegan or regular) and dip it in mustard or ketchup!. Mustard is 0 calories a serving size, and ketchup is 15!.
- Try some tomato soup!. Add some basil and dip saltine crakers in it!. It's delicious, and very low calorie as long as you don't over eat the crackers!.

im allergic to bread so i have heaps of alternatives: try a quick and easy to stirfry - if you have rice in the cupboard and soy sauce and honey you are sorted!

also you can get some low or almost no fat noodle soups that you can just add vegies and meat or seafood to!.

Or sushi do you like japanese !? It's cheap and healthy!.

there are heaps of alternatives to salad!. Look up gluten free diets - they exclude food with wheat, barley, rye, oats and malt!.
