Pilates or Callanetics?!


Question: Pilates or Callanetics!?
I heard of both of these exercises being great for core muscles! But what is the difference and which form of exercise is better!? I heard that callanetics were!.

Does anyone really know!? Do you have any experience with these exercises!?

I'm waiting my last two weeks to start exercising after having my baby!. Though this won't be my only form of exercise, I do want to know which is best to add to my overall routine!.

I think your referring to calisthenics, and yes by variety calisthenics are better!.

Why, because pilates by design no matter how you try to spin them are just forms of calisthenics!.

Basically calisthenics are body weight exercises so squats, lunges, push ups, burpees, mountain climbers, jumping jacks, all qualify!.


For examples of routines I recommend lean and hungry fitness!.

They have a variety of links for all skill levels!.

Any exercise program you do should include the essential components of flexibility, strengthening, and cardiovascular exercises!. Don't forget nutrition too!.
