Hi there!.
I turned vegetarian about 10 months ago!.
I have really seen no change in my weight, because instead of meat vegetarians usually eat more carbohydrates (which are used as an energy source for exercise, but if not used they are stored as fat)!. More carbs are necessary when you dont eat meat, as they are the energy source that replaces protein as an energy source (protein comes from meat)!.
So basically, to answer your question, if you were to turn vegetarian, it depends on the type of vegetarian diet and lifestyle you choose!. Of course, if you eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and exercise, you will lose weight!. If like me you eat a lot of carbohydrates (pasta, rice, pastries etc), you wont!. BUT saying this, make sure you eat enough carbs for energy for your exercise, or youll get sick!. EATING HEAPS OF FRUIT AND VEG AND BEANS is important when not eating meat for the vitamins and minerals :)
GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com

being a vegetarian doesn't make you lose weight!. just eat healthier foods!. when you eat meat, don't eat a cheeseburger, eat like!.!.chicken or something!. research this before you do anything to change your diet!.

eat less carbs, too!. don't completely cut carbs out, just eat less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

going vegetarian is not going to help u lose weight!.!.!. i know many vegetarians who load up on all the carbs and fats and they're as fat as ever! The best is to take in less calories and exercise more!.!.!. try to cut down on carbs!.!.!. you will see some changes in as little as 2 weeks!.!. cut the carbs now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
