Answers:
Muscle doesn't really burn fat, but it does raise your metabolism!. It requires more energy (aka calories) to maintain muscle mass than it does fatty tissue!. Cardiovascular exercises do burn fat!. That is why the combination of strength training and cardio is more effective than just doing one or the other!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle requires more energy than fat, obviously, so the more muscle you're able to put on, the more calories you will burn per day!. So, as far as having toned muscles goes, you help your muscles become more efficient by toning them but if you can put more muscle mass on, then your metabolism will go up!. It's really a small amount, about 5% of your daily metabolism per pound you're able to put on!. So, unless you're able to put on a ton of muscle, it will make only a small, but potentially noticeable difference!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
