Question: Lack of calcium in my body help!!!!!!!!!?
i got a stomach operation three months back and now i get tired very easily so i need to know about food items which contain iron in a big quantity pls don't suggest non veg items i am pure vegetarian!.i would be very thankful to all those who will help me in my problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All the green vegetables are rich in iron like Saag, palak, spinach(ghia)
And even jaggery(Gur) is also very rich in Iron You can take iron capsules also
You can go for Iron injections also but iron injections are very painfull but very very effective
Increase the intake of vitamin c also bcoz vitamin c helps in absorption of the iron lemon and pineapple are good source of vitamin c but you don't need only iron to make your body powerfull you need lots of protein also you can eat soyabean,cheese(paneer) and pulses and grams(kaala channa) for protein and for calcium you can drink 2 glasses of milk dailyWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you need iron, and lots of it, you won't really be able to get enough of it from vegetables!. I know some doctors think vegetarians will always be low in iron, but that isn't true!.

However, you should be looking at taking dietry supplements (or eating steak)!. Even if you are vegetarian you should put your health before your morals!.

For vege sources!.!.!.Lentils, Soy beans, Kidney beans, Lima Beans, Nazy beans, Spinach, Raisins, whole wheat bread!.

Look for iron enriched white products, such as white bread (many women suffer from iron defficiency, so they are a number of enriched products aimed at women)

Calcium has 3 main sources!. Dairy products, soy beans (tofu and soy bean milk) and chick peas (I love hummus and indian food and they use lots of chick peas)!.

please have enough protein, fresh fruits and vegs, fruit juices, milk and milk products!.though it will take some time but everything will be okay soon!. protein is important for building tissues not the calcium or iron!. a balanced diet will help you!. also enough carbs as well!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they have calcium supplements and iron supplements to help you since your into only veg then you won't have to eat a lot and can regulate it alittle easier i would suggest a b-12 supplement or b-complex for energy plus calcium helps to break down vitamin b Www@Answer-Health@Com
