This is my first time bulking up!. I've done a whole lot of cardio to become lean!. Now I want to bulk up fast!!! Should I bulk up for 12 months straight then cut!? Or should I bulk up for 6 months minimum, then cut, then go back to bulking again for 6 months and back to cutting etc etc!?!? Any idea!? (Btw, my diet, rest, and training schedule is very strict and I'm a hardcore fitness enthusiast!)

How many months should I devote to bulking!? What about cutting!? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

This question really depends on what is the weight you want to be when you're done cutting!.

Normally you bulk 10-15 pounds past your ideal weight, and then cut down to that weight and maintain that weight and then admire yourself and your new shredded self!.

It's not really along the line of a time frame!. Some guys go through a bulking phase forever, because they never intend to cut down to a lower weight!. Unless you're a professional body building who needs to do a bulk and cut to destroy your previous weight and strength plateaus!.

Or!. You could try your best and try and do a lean bulk!. Which is basically bulking up without gaining the excess fat!. It's really hard but possible!. Search 'lean gainers'

No, cut down first!. Studies have shown that people who get lean first , then gain weight, will gain leaner weight, rather than the opposite!.

So , drop a few more % body fat if you really want to get leaner, and then bulk up!.

How many months!? As long as you get to target weight!.!. how big do you want to be!?

I'm about 6' 1" 145 pounds and somewhere between 3-5% body fat!. Trying to bulk to 160 now!.

I would recommend 1 lb per week weight gain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't bulk that long!. I believe your second idea will turn out better for you in the long run!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
