Answers:
I don't know anything about steroids, but I do know a bit about cholesterol!. It is classified as a type of lipid (as are fats and oils) because it is not soluble in water!.

The cholesterol that our body needs (because we do need it!) is made by our bodies; I believe in the liver!. This means you can strive for a cholesterol-free diet with no negative side effects!. If you want to eat it, it is typically found in animal products (eggs are a well-known source), just try to eat less than 300 mg per day!. As with anything else, you can eat it in moderation and be healthy!.

We hear a lot about 'good' and 'bad' cholesterol!. The 'good' cholesterol is what we call HDL, or high-density lipoprotein (made of a little bit cholesterol, fat, and some protein)!. The reason it is so good for you is it picks up excess cholesterol remnants in your bloodstream and cell walls and takes it back to the liver, which reduces the likelihood of clogged arteries!. LDL cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein - contains a lot of cholesterol and little protein), is fine in small amounts!. It does serve a variety of purposes- including delivering cholesterol to cells in our body (cholesterol is a part of cell walls)!. Too much LDL cholesterol, however, has the opposite effect of HDL cholesterol: it builds up in our bloodstream and can clog our arteries!.

The types of foods we eat can effect the levels of HDL and LDL cholesterol!. Trans fat, for example, increases the level of bad cholesterol AND decreases the amount of good cholesterol!. One of the many reasons trans fat is so bad for you!. Its a double-edged sword!. Saturated fats increase both types of cholesterol!. The best way to raise your level of HDL/good cholesterol is through exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well basically, most steroids bump up your cholesterol to extreme levels, so there really is no good here man, just bad!. That's why a lot of people that take too many steroids die of heart disease, or heart related problems, because their blood pressure is so high, which results from their cholesterol!.

I feel like there are plenty of natural methods that help more then enough!. Steroids would not be the way to go in my opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
