How do you count calories without going crazy?!

Question: How do you count calories without going crazy!?
Even though I don't go out to eat much, I find couting calories such a pain in the ***!. Can anyone who has kept a food diary for longer than a week tell me how you do it!? Do I just have to suck it up and do it, or are there ways to make it easier!? An online food diary is fine (actually, that would be preferable)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The real answer to eating well and being healthy is to not look at it as a diet!. You have look at it as a lifestyle!. I don't really count calories, but I did an online calorie calculation as to how many my body needs in a day!. For me, I don't require much more than 1500 calories in a day!. So I divide that number by the 3 meals I eat in a day and that gives me about 500 calories per meal that I need to consume!. I don't look at it as an annoying counting issue, I look at it like a game!. How many items will total up to 500 calories for me to eat this meal!? But they can't be unhealthy calories, they have to be GOOD calories!. I make a lot of homemade stuff which I have no idea how many calories in there because there are no nutrition labels!. As long as you are eating healthy stuff which is "closest to how it is in nature" I'd say you're fine to eat it without knowing how many calories are in it!. For example: fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and nuts are free consumption!. When you get to processed things like cakes, crackers, chips, cookies, jams, and anything else not fresh, look at the ingredients!. Ingredients are more important than calories!. Anything with high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils or anything else which sounds chemically and unfamiliar is not good for you if you eat it daily!. Avoid all that stuff and you will be fine! If you go out to eat a lot, ask for the simplest foods, like salads (dressing on side) and grilled vegetables or meats!. Chicken and turkey is light, so go for that over red meats!. You can ask for fresh fruit cups too, those are good!. Clear soups over creamy ones, but sometimes soups have a huge lot of sodium!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is the way it is to count calories because you should not be counting them!. You should include a very wide variety of raw vegetables and fruits in your diet!. Raw foods do not carry high a lot of calories!. You should vary your meals so that you do not keep eating the same thing over and over again!.
