How does lifting weights actually "add" muscle?!

Question: How does lifting weights actually "add" muscle!?
I know some things, such as lifting weights will break down your muscle and your body will replace the muscle you burned along with some extra when you rest, but I mean like what really happens to those muscles when you do something strenuous and your body replaces it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is what happens!.

When you do bicep curls, you're straining your muscles, which means they get little tiny rips and tears along the cells and in the fibers!. When your body heals, they heal and add an extra layer of cells to prevent the damage again!.

So, when you rest, your muscles don't actually make NEW muscles, they simply strengthen the original ones!.

Imagine painting a wall, then painting it again, and again, and again!. The new layers make you stronger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your body doesn't replace muscle - have you heard the saying "Getting ripped", well this is because weights and weight bearing exercise stresses the individual strands of muscle fibre!.

During the important rest days, these fibres repair themselves (that's why protein in your diet is essential), and end up bigger!.

I hope this answers your question!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
