It is SO achievable! I lost about 2!.5 stone and now I'm running in fun runs and entering mini triathlons!. My body has changed completely! Initially I was just aiming to lose the weight, but I got so hooked on fitness I kept notching it up a level :)

OK, the first thing you need to do is find time to exercise!. No excuses!. I had no-one to look after my kids so when they went to bed at night I would run up and down my steep driveway listening to my ipod!. When I started I could only walk, I added in running in short bursts and worked up from there!. If it was too hot or cold I'd just dance to music inside for 30 minutes!. You might want to start by walking, cycling or swimming!. Aqua aerobics is good too!. Jogging is hard on the body if you're carrying quite a bit of extra weight!. To lose weight you really need to do some sort of cardio (getting your heart rate up) most days of the week!. If you can add some intervals of higher intensity exercise it will help too!. So say you're walking, maybe jog 1 minute for every 5 of walking!. That will help the fat burning!. Try to find activities you enjoy!.

Muscle building is really important!. It changes your shape and helps you burn more calories!. I saved up and got a personal trainer once a week, but you can do it by yourself as well!. That's how I started out!. There are loads of exercises here: http://www!.abc-of-fitness!.com/info/fitne!.!.!. Try to do some of these activities 2-3 times a week!. I started with push ups, crunches, tricep dips, lunges and squats!.

Now the part that sounds scary!. Food!. Actually, it's not too bad but you have to be a little hard on yourself for the first few weeks!. It sucks!. After that it's easy!. Basically cut out the junk, drink only water and try to make healthier choices!. So at night I snack on low fat yoghurt, low fat cheese, carrots etc!. Sounds boring, but you grow to like it!. Treat yourself now and then, but don't go over the top!. If you need to, count calories for a few weeks to see how much you really should be eating!. Start with maybe 1800-2000 per day!. Eat a good breakfast so you're not starving by 9am, eating a good lunch and dinner!. Also, work out why you overeat!. Do you overeat because you're bored, tired, stressed!? You need to address these problems if you're going to overcome the eating!. Also, get away from temptation!. If I want to binge at night I just go to bed a bit earlier!. It's not about totally denying yourself, but you have to get control of your eating and think about what you put in your mouth!.

Change your lifestyle, make healthy eating enjoyable and exercise part of your day (I hate missing it now, I really love it!)!. Embrace being healthy, don't just concentrate on weight loss!. That will come when you make the changes!.

Good luck, seriously - you can do it!!! And it's the best feeling in the world :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am 5foot tall and used to weigh 14 stones 7 pounds!. I done the weight watchers diet!. I strongly recommend joining a slimming club and going every week that way you be more determined to be good as you have to get weighed every week at the meeting!.

Lots of walking and drinking water!. A good breakfast, porridge for instance, a sandwich make with low calorie bread for lunch and a healthy dinner, chicken, spuds and loads of veg!.

Good luck, It took me 3 months to lose 3 stone !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started at 15 stone 6 with a goal of getting under 13st (male, 27 , medium build 6ft tall) I am now at 13 stone and it took 3 months so far!.

To kick off with I banned all the bad stuff until further notice so the foods I simply did not eat for weeks were as follows to give me a fighting chance of getting going:

cheese
crisps
curry
beer
fish n chips
kebabs
chocolate
pastry type foods
fatty meats such as sausage

I then joined a gym and went 3 times a week for one hour burning circa 750 calories!. I started to eat more fruit and veg and reduced my portion size by 25%!. I aimed to eat no more than 1600 calories per day and no more tha 20 grams of fat per day!. I did this by studying the nutritional info of food I both and cooked - its boring and time consuming but really helps change habits!. To coin a phase 'in order to eat a choc bar you must first buy,and unwrap a choc bar'

Each diet plan will effect each person differently but it has steadily dropped off me!. If you follow a similar ethos I am sure you will get the results you need!.

As I have got near to what I want I stick to the above Mon-Fri and have the occasional treat day (eating what I want but not over doing it) on a weekend - its working for me!.

good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest a cleansing diet!. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month!. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins!. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things!. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body!. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body!. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked!. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow!. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast!. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website!. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better!. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing!.tripod!.com

I lost about half my weight; went from 125Kg to 65 Kg in about a year :-)

I believe the trick is to go through a complete change in life-style!. I love to eat (big gourmet and cook); I used to eat large quantities, and poor quality!.!.!.no sports in my life at all!.!.!.

First thing I did, was to cut off all and any junk-food, especially fried foods (temporarily, for the first 9months); then I gradually decreased the quantities I was eating and started walking ( about 1hour a day, and gradually increased the distance)!.!.!.helps to do it with a friend and pick a nice spot to walk around (i!.e!. a park, near a lake!.!.etc)!.!.drank a lot less alcohol (really contributes to bloated bellies)!.!.!.

Then I started playing a bit of basketball (1-2 times a week)!.!.!.Then took on the exercise bicycle (or you can ride a real bicycle), started with 15minutes a day and gradually increased my stamina to last 1hour a day and more!.!.!.!.

Meantime, you have to make sure that you're taking vitamin supplements or are eating enough fruits and vegies!.!.!.

Lastly, I had lost so much weight but my body looked awful! I needed to tone it big-time; so I joined a Tae-bo class!.!.!.was really hard at first!. But then, it was the best thing that ever happened to me!!!!!! It tones your body perfectly, gives you just the right amount of muscle and helps you maintain a very steady weight!.!.!.!.you just feel so invigorated and healthy afterward!.!.!.

After that, you can go back to eating normally, while being cautious/reasonable!.!.!.!.I sleep so much better since as well :-)

It all took about one year and a few months!.!.!.!.

My point is; regimes and drastic diets only work temporarily!. They make you suffer, you're unhappy, and the second you stop dieting you start gaining all the weight back!.!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
