Do you have to consume dairy every day?!


Question: Do you have to consume dairy every day!?
I think calcium is the most important nutrient from dairy!. Is it ok not to drink milk or eat dairy for 1 week!? Can we substitute with vegetables and fruits!?

Dairy is very controversial!.

Calcium is the only reason to really consume it!. The average person in the US already gets more calcium than they need!. The calcium "crisis" is created by the dairy industry!.

Dairy products do contain good amounts of calcium but if you are worried about getting enough then there are much better sources than milk(way too much saturated fat, high calorie)!. If you must drink milk, then go for the organic, skim variety!.

I personally consume dairy every day b/c I was raised on it and I love it, but it is not necessary!. There are plenty of other ways to get your calcium, and some of them are actually healthier and more effective!. You can take calcium tablets, eat lots of broccoli, and/or drink soy/rice milk that has been fortified!. In lots of cultures, dairy is not part of the typical diet, and people have been surviving in those cultures for centuries!. Also, people don't absorb calcium as easily from cows milk as we do from other sources like soy milk (b/c we're not cows !. !. !. our systems are designed to absorb calcium from human milk)!. Finally, lots of adults suffer from lactose intolerance, particularly those whose ancestors come from places outside of Northern Europe, India, or Eastern Africa!. For such people dairy is just a bad idea all around!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I run 40 miles a week, kick box 3 times a week, lift weights 5 times a week and do 800 sit ups a day and I haven't eaten dairy in 7 years!.

I would consider myself VERY healthy!.

So yes you can do real well without dairy!.

I get my calcium from sesame seeds and I eat soy milk or fruit juice with my cereal!.

it is reccomended!. but i dont have dairy every day!. i wouldnt reccomend not having any for a week!. you should always have fruits and vegetables anyway!.

You can get your calcium from other sources such as dark leafy green vegetables or a calcium supplement!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
