Question: Only girls please help!!?
Hey there I ve been on a diet since may now, I eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast, porridge at lunch and a salad for dinner ( This is what I would typically eat a day, but it varies) !. I ve lost weight but my periods completely stopped since!.!.!.What s going on!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was a yo-yo dieter in my 20s and found that my periods were very irregular when I was losing weight!. The other thing about having a very restricted calorie diet over a long period is that your body resets itself, and it becomes harder to lose weight because your body feels as if it's being starved and uses less calories!. So while 800 calories a day worked for awhile, it soon does not work!.

Depending on what's in your porridge and what's in your salad, you may not be doing terribly, but I'm guessing that you have the bare minimum in your soup and salad!. I think really striving for eating lots of veggies and fruit, with primarily beans and nuts for protein, is the way to go for the long-term!. Throw some omega-3 rich salmon or other fish in, and let yourself have meat occasionally if you want!. Let yourself eat as you wish on special occasions!. Ban the "I'm depriving myself" practices, as who wants to keep that up for a lifetime!?

How active are you!? Increasing activity to lose weight is healthier than cutting way, way back on food!. I'm trying to be more active!.

Those are my words of wisdom as a long-time dieter trying to just live healthy rather than live on a diet!.

Sounds like a very imbalanced diet!.!.!.!. depending on what you're putting in that salad, what kind of cereal, and what kind of porridge you're eating!. See a doctor!. He can give you a pregnancy test (hello!) and helpful advise on a healthy diet that will help you lose weight without making you malnourished!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont know, but cereal might make you gain weight, so if you ate something other then cereal it would be better, I recommend you to stop your diet and wait, after if nothing happens, go to a doctor!.

Malnourishment can make periods cease!. The body will shut down things not used to have enough energy for the necessary things, like brain, heart and lung functions!. This is not a good thing to do for any length of time!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
